Not much to talk about in a 4.8km TT but...
Profile:
It kicks off at 2.30pm (UK time)
Weather: 16 degrees celcius, 20-25km/h winds, partly cloudy.
My money is on Cancellara or Grabsch.

I can't find any info on it, but I think there was an amateur event this morning on the ciruict. Something like 11,000 entrants although this sounds very high.Contador is the Greatest0

Too short for Grabsch. He only ever does well on dead flat, dead straight, 50 km races along a motorway.
No-one will beat Cancellara, but maybe some of the sprinters will get close - Boonen or Farrar could get top 5s. Valverde too.0 -
Sporza is on tv, now.
Jeez what appallingly wet conditions.
Carlos Barredo crashes on the start ramp, so they have now covered it.
Millar has almost come down on 3 corners, then had the Lampre team car blocking his exit line, on a corner.
Just getting around unscathed, is going to be an achievement."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Kreuziger the fastest so far... in sunny weather. It's absolutely chucking it down now. Kreuziger could be first leader.
No widescreen?!0 -
Ah, shame to hear about the weather By the looks of the weather they've been really unlucky and copped the heaviest shower in the Netherlands, hopefully the rest of the prologue will be drier

Was going to say that it would be interesting to see how Rabon gets on after his prologue win in the Giro de Romandie this year but his mark doesnt seem to have lasted for long

The weather could really hurt cancellara's chances. And It's certainly not going to help Andy for the overall, but that's why it'ss good it's so short. It's kind of weird that they chose such a short course for a prologue. 5 minutes of riding is weird.0

The course is drying out.
Japanese anyone?

Brit Eurosport are showing the whole of tomorrow's stage, live, according to Harmon."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
It's stopped raining now, but the course still looks quite wet. Cancellara still has a chance, I think. It's drying out.
David Harmon said there are 30,000 fans there. It's a shame we can't see them.
Cycling on a motor racing track is weird. They aren't the prettiest of places, are they?0 -

I heard that, but the schedules disagree :? From 3pm wherever I look.
Oh, he just said it again.0 -

My Sky planner says Eurosport HD has no live Vuelta at all tomorrow. Showjumping instead.0 -
All day on international?___________________

The HD channel is just ES international when its not a HD transmissionFckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

The event isn't broadcast in HD from what I know. The picture quality of the SD feed isn't even that good. They are also broadcasting in that stupid pillarbox mode, in which a 4:3 picture is boxed into 16:9. God knows why they don't just broadcast at 4:3 instead. BBC were notorious for this too
But all that aside, live coverage =0 -

Surely that's the proper way to broadcast a 4:3 feed... otherwise you'd get a distorted picture and the quality would be even worse.
No-one's getting close to Roman K yet.0 -
It's on TVE again. Picture is a bit bigger but the quality is reduced.Winner: PTP Vuelta 20070

Bennati the new fastest. Liquigas 1-2-3 atm...0

Harmon still thinks ES are showing the whole stage, starting at 3pm... someone should tell him it starts at 11.39am.0
-
New leader again... Jens Mouris. No, I have no idea either.0
-
Hard luck Jens Mouris. Not even 15 minutes of fame... Boonen new leader by 5 seconds..0
-
where the heck did that come from? Boonen just kicked everyone's butt!0

Liquigas the team to beat. 4 out of the top 10 are rocking the green. And they've got good mountain helpers along.
Boonen's ride not surprising - He's good at this kind of distance. Hopefully he's got some sprinting legs on too.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0
