What Winter/Training wheelset?

Don't really want to use my Easton 90 SLX through the winter, and also thought it would be handy to have a spare rear wheel with a Conti turbo tyre on, to make training a little easier.
Don't want to pay mega bucks, just saw some Shimano Ultegra 6600 SL wheels in Merlins for £265, there is also a Shimano R500 set for £79.95 (dirt cheap!).
What do you uys reckon?
I'm running SRAM Force with a shimano block at present.

You could also consider the Shimano RS10 or 20s which wouldn't cost you £265, or Planet X Model Bs if they're still doing them.

What about Mavic Aksiums? Robust wheelset and cheap enough too. I've had a pair on my winter bike for a couple of years & found them to be spot on.

Thanks very much for your input, guys.
I'll probably go for the RS20's....
