Giant Defy 2.5 2009 v Giant 3 2010

Ordered 2.5 2009 6 weeks ago. Due to unforseen demand these are apparently no longer available and the shop called me today stating this and saying they would give me the new Defy 3 2010 which is a higher spec .
Have been out of the sport for years and this is my first bike in a while so I am not uptodate with the latest equipment specs etc

Should I take the 2010 Defy 3 , I do have an option of an alternative of similar value but have not discussed tghis yet.
Any advice much appreciated

    the 3 ain't higher specced than the 2.5 and that's the spec for a 4 that you've copied,

    2200/2300 is cheaper than sora, which is cheaper than tiagra, which is cheaper than 105. not saying that price makes it better, but it's a good starting point.

    or just get the nice colour, there's probably not much difference anyway

    Cheers, appreciate the info, correct spec is below for the 2010 Defy 3

    Not that bothered about the colour to be honest.
    From what I read up the Tiagra is better than the Sora so that's a bit lower. Doesn't seem to be much difference otherwise but as I mentioned I am not up to date and coule be missing something
