Hi all

I have sold my current bike and am now trying to decide on a replacement. I have a budget of £700 (give or take a few quid) and, not being a brand snob, I have narrowed it down to the two bikes, below.

I have tried them both and the both appear far superior that my current ride and I am having real difficulties choosing between the two. However, I have no idea regarding which has the better components etc.

So, over to the 'experts' - which one should I go for? :

Boardman Mountain Bike Comp http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... 65499#dtab

or

Decathlon Rockrider 8.2:

Many thanks in advance to anyone who spares the time to give their opinion!

    Better spec on that rockrider.

IMHO it looks nicer as well.

Yeah, the Rockrider is better specced, both very good value bikes, either would be a good choice (I've got a Boardman btw) but on spec the Rockrider edges it with better forks and brakes. Spec isn't everything though, so get down the shops and see how they both feel, it might be that either one of them just doesnt 'fit' right.
