Which general grease lube??

Ok looking for some decent grease or lube to put on pedals, creaking seat etc

any recomendations for a general one off wiggle as just putting order through

seriously purple grease... it's yummy and contains vimto!


It doesn't really, but it is much nicer to use in my opinion than many of the others i've used

Special grease is not required for bike applications, infact near enough any grease will do.

Something like I linked above is exactly the same as some cycling brands but at a fraction of the cost.

I would avoid lithium based grease for stationary based applications as it has a tendancy to weld metals together. I would go for a non lithium, teflon grease for all round use.

Hi Folks,

Winter has arrived early here in Lancashire and the mud is thick. Which type of lube is best for really muddy/sloppy conditions?
I've had mixed opinions from friends - some say go for Wet Lube other's say stick with dry??? And one pal mentioned ceramic lube??

Too much choice, can anyone help?
