Dromarti Order Backlog?

I've had a pair of Dromarti Sportivos Size 43 on order since March. Martin at Dromarti (very nice man) after originally saying that they would be delivered in May recently told me that it was going to be end September/October. My order is apparently at the top of the Size 43 cue - I imagine there must be a fair few others waiting also. I hope I'm not being fobbed off because other, perhaps more pressing, customers such as magazine reviewers etc are jumping the queue. I am a patient man, but notwithstanding Italian delivery times, I find it hard to believe that Dromarti can be running a shoe business based on 6 month (assuming it does get delivered then) lead times. Has anyone else been waiting this long?

I wanted these but couldn't justify it after doing 220 on some Ergo 2s but the other half noticed them reviewed in a magazine left in our 'smallest room in the house' and offered to buy me them for Christmas.

If they do take that long, I'll tell her not to bother.

My Colnago took 6 months to arrive from Italy but maybe a frame takes longer to build than a pair of shoes.

Good luck and hope they turn up soon.
