I'm after a pair of shoes to try out my cleats/pedals etc.
Anyone tried these DHB shoes ? Are they on the small or large side. I'm a size 8 1/2 so need to know if they're 'smallish' or 'biggish'
Thanks

I went a size up and it was the right choice. Haven't actually ridden in them yet but they fit fine.0

If anyone reading the thread who owns some would like to chime in perhaps they could tell me how the things are supposed to clip in - I have two sets of pedals and the shoes don't clip into either properly - they'll clip in a bit but come right off with a little pull. Seems to be way too much tread on them. Have no trouble at all with my other shoes (thank you lidl).0

Really? that's not good....... think I'll spend the extra & get Shimano to be sure they fit my Shimano pedals. Can't you modify them or use old inner tube to pack behind the cleat?0 -
I have a pair of dhb M1 for mt MTB and a pair of dhb R1 for my road bike.
I am a size 8 and ordered size 43 in both types. They fit fine and I find them both extremely comfortable.
I have only been using them for 2 months now and they are my first pairs of clipless shoes. I thought they would take some getting used to but once set up correctly they are extremely nice to use.
I use SH51 cleats with the M1's on shimano spd's and i use Look RXS on my R1.
In my opinion they are a bargain. I am sure that there are better shoes out there but not for the money.
Wiggle were selling last years colours off for £35 delivered.
Hope that helpsI ride therefore I am0 -
are you clipping in right?
I use the DHB M1's with SPD's and have no issues clipping in or out.... the fit is good and secure, they are cool in hot weather and decent enough in the wet, if a bit slippy on a wet road, other than that I can't fault them....
Did you attach the cleats correctly? also did you hear a click when you pushed on the pedals?FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips

In the interests of fairness and because I've only been using cleats a little while I just spent the last 15 minutes testing them on both of my bikes to judge properly. I read the wiggle reviews and only a few people reported the same problem so it could just be me (and them)...
Unclipping is no problem at all. Clipping into my wellgo pedals is just about ok though occasionally I think I'm not in when I am and vice versa. The shimano 520 pedals are much more awkward to clip into and it's quite hit and miss, a lot of the time I think I'm not in when I am - not getting the definable click, sometimes even after getting a click the back part slips out.
Sure it will get better with time but they're nowhere near as easy to clip into as my lidl shoes which are my only past experience with cleats but they don't have anything like the depth of tread these do.0 -
you may just need to adjust the cleats, if i dont hear the click a slight twist of the heel sorts it otherwise you get that weird knee flying up when you pull on the pedal which is not a fun thing at allFCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips
