Hi all, I've been asked by some work colleagues whether I want to take part in the dalby forest red route for charity, now I'm more of a roadie and have a scott sportster p55 hybrid, could I slam fat knobblies on this and use it, and if so, are their any tyres/rims you would recommend. I don't really want to buy a mountain bike specifically.
Sorry for sounding like a berk !
Thanks for any advice.

That's my 2 cents,

If the tyres fit, sure! Make sure they are not too wide.0

Maxxis high rollers, maxxis advantage, continental rubber queens, all good tyres.0

Yes, cyclo cross tyres.
Dalby red route could be done on a hybrid, if you ride it carefully enough, plenty of rocky sections and a few small drop offs, but everything is rollable.0
