Well todays ride in was fun. Left the camera, or my "black box flight recorder" at home today as the battery was dead and rode in. No special people until I get to the Common and see the Gypsies have moved back in. Nothing bad about Gypsies in my book, just hope this lot are a little more tidy than the last lot who wrecked the place. :?
I turn a corner on one of the shared paths the Common has to offer and ride towards the wooded bit I take. Out of the corner of my eye far ahead I see something white bobbing up and down, only when I get closer do I see the naked arse and trousers being pulled up. "Dirty b*******!" I think I said, and decided it best to ride off tut-tut-tutting to myself.
Have no idea if it was man or woman, someone having a knuckle or what.. we have had one or two incidents with sexual assualts there and a lot of flashers over the years. Hmm think I might fill out a crime stoppers form. :?
Secondly I get off as I leave the Common so I can walk the bike across the zebra crossing on Hill Lane (or "Hill Lame" as I shall now dub it). About to step out and realise a lady in a green people carrier isnt going to stop, her eyes fixed on mine as she ploughs through. I shake my head and seeing the traffic is clear enough put one foot on the crossing to find a male driver come flying around the corner and only JUST stop in time.
For a moment he appeared to be reaching for his door, and he had a right mizz on. Thought the geezer was going to lamp me one so put one palmed hand out and in my most authoritative voice said "just slow it DOWN on those corners!" and walked away.

I know a few Gypsy people (one is a family member) and genuinely like them. There does appear to be one or two groups of travellers that keep coming here and making a pigs ear.
Hmm I prolly sound racist there.
Oh and the other thing that made me laugh. St Deny's Road - the new cyclelane I was happy about last week... filled up with parked cars today, all on double yellows. As I passed the last car I shouted through the open window "nice parking!" at the driver.0 -

Dear god used to love that too!! Wouldnt get that on telly now, sad how that is. The health and safety exec would be throwing fits and foaming at the mouth and the no-win-no-fee lawyers would be salivating over the prospect0 -

LOL! He never got involved in that or doing driveways, LOL! Originally a car mechanic he now works in a little hardware shop (one of the last ones around here feeling the nails being driven in by B&Q etc)0
