Best pump for high pressure into tyres
Afternoon all.
I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding the best way to get the high pressures required into my road tyres. I'd like to be running my tyres around 110psi but my current method of going to my local petrol station and using the air pump isn't quite getting them high enough.
I was curious to know what pumps people on here use to get such high pressures in their tyres????
Cheers

I've been using one of these for about 5 years with no problems:
Get it here for £21.39: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Topeak-Joe-Blow-Max-II-Track-Pump_15827.htm0 -
That;s a Topeak Joe Blow Max. I have one of these and it worked well for years until it fell over on a hard floor and the plastic fitting at the top of the pump barrel broke. Topeak can't/won't supply a spare part, which is really annoying as the pump is fine otherwise.
I'm told that Lezyne and SKS can supply spares. Can anybody confirm that? How about other manufacturers?0 -
I prefer track pumps with a brass "Silca style" head, like this:
Some of the modern lever ones are great, but others are useless. The brass ones just keep on going forever.0 -
+1 for the joeblowSOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES; NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS0

Joe Blow MAX 2 - good budget track pump - think mine was £19.95 last year - not sure what they are now.0

+1 for an Edinburgh Bicycle Coop Track pump, not sure which one ive got, though its the one with the aluminum barrel. had it for donkeys and didn't pay a fortune, only £25 i think0
