105 chain set on ultegra?

Hi , i've got an Ultegra SL groupset onmy bike and want to get a compact.

Being a tight arse, can I fit a 105 compact and save about £100 or will it stuff up?

Also, has anyone heard of any scams on ebay where you end up with fake chain sets? Been looking at those options but bit dubious of some of the auctions might be fake kit? Happens all the time with golf clubs.

Not heard of eBay scams but you can put a 105 chainset on with no worries.

Why not save a bit more and fit a Tiagra compact (perfectly good chainset just a smidgeon heavier) or an FSA Mega Exo compact ?
