Kings cross to Heathrow

Just wondered if any of you lot who are from down near the capital could give me some advice, what i want know is basically what the best way to get from kingscross to heathrow with least hassle etc as i will have my daughter and missus with me and suitcases etc ??

Where are my stabilisers?

Piccadilly line from Kings X to Heathrow - no changes but the tube is never ideal with baggage and family.

Or

Taxi from Kings X to Paddington and get the Heathrow express.

Or

Taxi all the way!

Don't envy anyone crossing London with bags and kids - Mind, as long as it's not rush hour, things are never as bad

Did look at that tfl.gov, but i always think its best to ask people who actually use routes and all that (bit like trail centres i suppose )
