What colour Hope QR's?

I'm already fed up with my hex key front QR and Seatpost clamp, so I want to get some shiny Hope QRs...
Trouble is, do I go for Red or Blue? Whcih would look better and make me go faster?
Bike is a White On-One Inbred with black components, in my Sig.

Duh, red things always go faster. That's why most Ferraris are red. :roll:0

Gunmetal?
Of your suggested options, I'd go red (like everyone else, it appears!)0 -
I see. I already have black though and I was thinking about a splash of colour. I suppose black wouldn't be so blingin' and maybe a touch classier...0

Aye. Might as well get Shimano then too!0

black all the way, unless you want to look like your trying too hard.- Kona Hot '96 - Marin Rift Zone '09 - Cannondale Synapse Carbon '06 - Kona Caldera '98 - Kona AA '94 - Dawes Kickback II - Cannondale BadBoy '11 - Genesis iOiD SS -0

If you LOOK as though you're trying too hard, then people will not throw scorn on you when you fail, as they will believe that "at least you were trying your best."
Looking like you're trying too hard, but not actually trying, allows you the comfort of being a generally lazy c**t, whilst still earning admiration for trying your hardest. A skill that should not be underestimated.

it's got to be silver... :roll:0

Cool, are the Deore ones any good? Compared to Hope I mean (without spending £35 on XTR ones?)0
-
IMO they are better than Hope. IMO they are the best skewers you can get. Superior clamp design, and easier to judge the pressure required.0
-
Cool, Deore ones it is then...just need to find some red paint :P
Cheers as ever for the advice0 -
I got superstar ones super light and cheaper than hope and all the colours.
But got some xt wheels and the skewers are nice, better feeling than hope or the superstar ones.
But they will all do the job.0 -

I have both and the hope are at least 2000 times better than the deore, the deore feel hollow and plasticy, really not nice at all.
The hopes are solid and you really do know when you have them on tight enough.
Go for red if you intend on adding more bling or the gunsmoke for that subtle cool look.
As mentioned red is the fastest colour so you will increase the speed of the bike as well.0 -
There's also the great looks you can get of unknowing relatives when they ask
"what holds your wheels in place on that bike of yours"
and you answer
"... Hope"
I used to love doing that when family would ask me how the hell I stopped at the bottom of the quarries before hitting the lake, I'd answer, honsetly, "hope"
Silly I know - but that's me.0 -

2000 times better? That all?!
I think the Deores are much better made and easier to use.0 -
I prefer the action on the deores, but they're just sooooo boring...
Why cant hope make some nice enclosed cam ones?
Other option would be the crank brothers ones.0 -

gunmetal will be best IMHO,
I am planning to either go fully gunmetal and Carbonfibre when I get my new ride, headset, seat clamp, Quick Release, etc with the CF post, bars, riser, etc. now just to work on getting the promotion so I can get the bike.FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips

well that was just an approximation, haven't really sat down to calculate it :-) , just the deores feel so cheap and unsure, still do the job though of course.0 -

Have to agree - I always thought it was a strange name for brakes for that reason ...Could have been worse, the company could have been founded by a Mr Luck.
As for the OP, I went for silver myself as they don't do the odd shade of greeny/blue that my hope hubs are - would have liked to match though tbh.Santa Cruz Chameleon
