LiT, I got one of these for holidays it's ace

You can get them from amazon for about £7.50 it a smartcafe hot mug, yummy.

    Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car
    Vitus Sentier VRS - 2017
  • No excess packaging for that unecessary product, then.

Does anyone know where I can find individually wrapped grapes?

Hmmmmm, good idea... also means you can get more coffee en-route with ease.

For reasons which escape me, the silver ones are cheaper. Good shout though, I'm now tempted.

I'm off to do the C2C tomorrow, although taking the wimps option and not camping.

Did some cycling when in France last week and it's amazing how much safer I felt, even on the main roads. Am now tempted by the Loire cycle path, 5-800km of signposted route through one of the premier wine growing regions,,,,,,, :D

What packaging do you suggest for a single-use open bag of coffee? Hmmmmm?

Ummm, it the single use bit that slightly concerns me.

Indeed, and you can change your type for each cup if for some strange reason you need to drink *spit*decaffe*spit*.

Oh and yeah that is weird for some reason when we bought ours the red one was cheapest, I really don't get amazon sometimes.

Fair play, but for camping I think they're handy. Also, coffee is kind of a single use product, no?

EDIT: the bag bit is biodegradeable, although the foil packet is not. In case you're all eco-warrior today. ;)

    I wholeheartedly concur.
I was bought one of these a few years ago. Initially sceptical, after testing they're so good that I now have many - for camping, work, leaving in my Dad's house for when I visit....I just got back from holiday and mine came with me and kept me caffeinated even when staying with non-coffee-drinking friends.

(it has been pointed out that I may have a coffee problem....in my view it's only a problem if I can't get any)

Get one. No, get several !

Dead right. There's absolutely no difference between coffee and plastic.
    Are you WeadMire?

And at least we now all know that if we get stressed and wound up about something, we can take it out on LiT and she won't mind at all.......

  • 3. Take equipment to cook in the evening but only do so when there's not another option.
    You'll want a jetboil then...
    4. Take a cafetiere or similar. I require coffee in the mornings!

    ... with its cafetiere adaptor.

I have one, can recommend it. Very minimalist, but providing you choose appropriate food to use with it, it's fine. Cafetiere works well. Boils water in just over a minute.

Hadn't thought about that, but good point indeed!

Top marks to LiT - if it were me, I probably would have murdered her.

In Sainsbury's today, found they sell an own brand individual coffee filter (the paper type, not plastic), Fairtrade coffee, £1.95 for 10.
