i'm looking at riding Bristols Timberland trail tomorrow. does anyone know if it's waymarked? i couldn't find much info on the Bristol Trails Group website - but that's biased towards trail maintainance (for obvious reasons)

and i take it the best place to park is in the cafe' car park, the other side of the gatehouse...?

thanks in advance :)

It is waymarked, but some of the markers are missing and it's easy to get "lost", but it's pretty easy to get yourself on track again though. If you go on a warm Sunday afternoon, there will be plenty of other people on the trail, so if you need help, it'll be there.

It's terrible in the wet though!

Yep, i can vouch for that. And why is the mud bright orange?
It's all good fun until someone loses a bollock.

i rode it yesterday - thanks for the replies!

i was surprised how well it held up to the weather. there's obviously a lot of ground work gone into it. it wasn't boggy at all, but just damp enough to make it very slippery.
