MTBing Lake Garda - Hiring

We're off on a family holiday next week to the town of Garda on the east side of Lake Garda. I've manage to blag a day to do a bit of mtb in the area.

Has anyone been that could recommend.... bike hire place and route out of Garda?

I'm struggling to find information on hiring a bike, never done it before?!. I suppose I need to take my own kit, shoes and helmet. What pedals are they likely to be... spd's?
