Anyone happen to know how much the saddle weighs on the MTB HT/Pro?

If its the same as the one on the Comp it doesnt matter - you will be changing it pretty sharpish before it cuts your arse in half! lol

Yeah, that's the plan, but I want something lighter too! The Ritchey WCS Marathon gets a nice review for comfort, though at 232g it's not the lightest...but if it's lighter than Boardman saddle I'll go for it.

For me, the weight of a saddle isn't really that important. I'd much rather a comfortable one that weighs a bit more (although larger/more padded saddles are not necessarily more comfortable) than have a lighter one that leaves you in agony on all day rides (such as my stupid Cube RFR thing).

To be honest, you're only going to save 50g or so by getting a lighter saddle, so does that much really matter? It's only the equivalent of carrying a few bars of chocolate in your pack.

If you're desperate to lose weight from that area of the bike, you could always get a lighter seatpost?

Definitely, but the current post is the Ritchey Pro, which weighs about 240g. I like the Ritchey WCS stuff, but the Alu WCS seatpost is only about 5g lighter and then I'm up to the carbon which is a little out of my price range for the time being.

I'd really like a to upgrade to full Ritchey WCS, so not really looking at other brands. Guess the answer is save up for the WCS Carbon and get the WCS Seat now.

Ah, well if you're looking for matching Ritchey stuff then I guess your options are pretty limited. The WCS stuff is lovely (I've got WCS carbon bars myself), but I think you'd still get away with having matching seatpost/stem/bars and a different saddle. You can't see it when you're sat on it anyway!

I guess I'm just speaking as someone who has recently had a painful saddle almost get in the way of a great riding holiday.

Oh, and I know it's not Ritchey but a lot of the guys on here have got Exotic carbon posts (see: http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=0&c=47&p=795& or http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=0&c=47&p=801& for full carbon with Ti bolts). The weight ranges from 146-190g, depending on the diameter/length, so you'd save between 50-90g for just £32.84! Plus, they look pretty tasty too, which never hurts...

I had a warranty issue on a WCS road bike rear wheel & took the stickers off the rim.
