Any one else used the Oakley Transitions for road riding - what are they like in low light? Any thoughts welcome - need some new riding glasses and wondering whether to spend this kind of £.

I do lots of riding on road and off and as an all rounder they are brilliant, the price actually reflects your getting 3 glasses in one, even in really dull days off road in forest i find them better than a clear lens.
Bright conditions they are not too dark, but cope with the brightest summer sun (in this country) They really come into there own if your in and out of shaded areas such as tree lined roads or off road.
I'd recomend them to anyone. plus as protection you will struggle to find a tougher lens.Carbon is a mans best freind0 -
There are a few different transition lenses I think. I have the VR50. They are good for most conditions, but I won't wear them for low-light conditions. By that I mean on my evening rides when the sun is very low in the sky, as they are pretty ineffective at cutting out the glare. Worse if the roads are damp and reflecting the sun. You need polarized lenses for that.0
