Gears slipping

Hi, i find that sometimes when i pedal the chain slips on the cog as though it is changing gear, can someone please tell me what is wrong and how to sort it. Thanks, your answers are appreciated, Jonty

    how old is the bike?

    Could be a number of things,
    Chain worn
    Cassette worn
    Front Rings worn
    Gears not set up properly
    Chain too long.

    If it slips roughly the same time/place and under power then check for a sticky link

    hi thanks for replying think it is most likely to be a sticky link but how do you find it and fix it

    use your eyes and then hold the chain and waggle it. Or use a chain tool to loosen the pin.
