Routes on Arran
me and some of my mates are going to arran for the day next week, taking the bikes obviously. i know there are mountain bike trails there but we're more interested in riding the natural stuff. looking for some fast singletrack and downhill, wouldn't mind pushing to the top of a mountain. any of you got any info which could help us out? also good pubs? cheers

yes its the isle of arran. i know that goat fell is the biggie but its in a glen so there are other hills which might offer better riding. i seen a video of some guys riding goat fell, didnt look very interesting to be honest0

There are routes in the south of the island, above Lamlash and Shiskine. Doubletrack has unmapped singletrack leading from it but you have to find this as you go. Arran has an MTB company which organises outings and will know the hidden paths. Check here.
