Hi all

I'm building a cyclocross bike/winter training bike and need a Front Derailleur, and all the cable routings are for top pull. I'd like to use a spare road front chainset and Shimano 8 speed shifters so I'm looking for a Shimano top pull Front Derailleur but I can't find one.

Current set-up is:

Shifters: Shimano ST-R500 8 speed
Chainset: FSA Gossamer double 50-34t
Rear cassette: 8 Speed 12-28 ish
Chain: Shimano 8 speed.

Can anybody suggest a solution which doesn't require moving the cable routings?

Cheers

Mike

What you need is one of these

then you can use a std road front mech which will match your road shifters for cable pull

FWIW most makers have reverted back to under BB cable routing and bottom-pull front mechs due to lack of top-pull mechs and the fact it wasn't really a problem in the first place.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yes. I'm going for the mech verter option but if I ever get the frame painted I'll get the cable routing sorted out before.
