Anyone travelling up? Thinking about lobbing the tent in the car and the bike to get out on the hills. Anyone fancy it (No not sharing tents but the cycling bit).?

Thinking abut Langdale, so any thoughts etc let me know.

Lake District on a bank holiday? You'll be needing a pollution mask.

    Lakes?

    On the Bank Holiday weekend?

Are you mad??? I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy - it's a bleeding nightmare, even if you know the 'quiet' areas. On the Bank Holiday weekend the whole damn place is rammed and the number of clueless drivers is frightening.

Don't let me put you off though

I can do that from home :P 15 miles from Ashbourne and onto the big hills :D

Oh yeah - I spoke to a guy who's been down Slack Hill - he said you get to over 60 without pedalling, just push off from the start and don't think about death, jam, smearing yourself over 1/4 mile of tarmac or screaming lots..

    Oh, and brakes.

The Buxton to bakewell road is amusing (a^)

I was doing 50mph down the hill when I was well-scalped by a cyclist.

    Very brave or very stupid.
