Just looking at Lance Armstrong's twitter to see what he said about quitting today and I saw this
Largest urban park in Europe is Dublin's Phoenix Park at nearly 1800 acres. I sure would like to go for a ride there

Anyone from Dublin may want to keep an eye on twitter for another mass ride

  • I know what you mean about not posting about it in the Road forum, it's pretty vicious over there on the subject of LA. Lots of comments of the sort 'you don't know what you're talking about because you spend more time cycling than posting and hence only have a post count of less than 10,000'. I like to think we're a bit more welcoming to all view points here in Commuting (well except RLJing ;-))
  • Phoenix Park is a really nice ride - if you don't have a bike with you there's a good and (amazingly for Dublin) quite cheap bike hire place (only Giant mtb's but still....) near one of the Park gates. Overall I'm a Lance fan - strike me dead - and yeah I've read all the Kimmage and Whittle etc etc stuff but basically he just strikes me as a decent guy - sometimes you just have go on gut feeling. And how many other superstars would've done anything like that Paisley thing last week? So if he does want a ride round Phoenix Park I might be just tempted to put the bike in the car and head for Holyhead.
