    Some fairly harrowing scenes in part 2 in the bits which look at crashes and doping....

    I think there's some debate as to whether some of the footage was faked (particularly the guy falling off in exhaustion at about 4.00 onwards). A lot of it looks real, however, and a lot of the filmed stuff from this era shows riders in a total state of exhaustion - the result of pushing too far under the pain killing effects of amphetamines and alcohol etc perhaps?
