Am sooo scared i have signed up for this years pedal for scotland i have only been out out on my bike twice and they were only short journey's. It is now three weeks to go and i am worried that i might not be able to complete it . Should i pull out or train my but off for the next three weeks and bite the bullet and do it?

55 miles...
hm, i think you'll be okay, but you've got to start training. In three weeks you can improve a fair bit. I'd recommend buying a heart-rate monitor to help you sort out your intensity.
It'll also help with pacing for your pedal for scotland.0
