Anyone used em, im after a set of tyres.

Not bought from them but they answered my email query fairly quickly, however if you are after their 2.1 Panaracer XCs then beware they are the OEM tyres that differ from the usual Pro's that you may be after.

Nah it's kenda excavator dtc's they were they only uk site listing them which i thought was odd, anyway they've now been ordered.

Naughty about them supplying oem fire xc's aren't they the different tpi made in thailand models, i remember they were floating around a while back.

Anyway these are going to be my all round winter tyres, they look exceedingly grippy.

    dazza.

i hope your running them tubeless, they a complete t*£t to get on,,

the guys at bearback biking are sponsered by kenda and use them on their gamblers.
i was trying to help 2 guides pete and jamie put one onto a dt swiss rim. must of puntured about 8 tubes trying to mount it. 3 pairs of hands all the pinching and rolling would not mount them had to use a metal tyre lever and hence so many tubes knicked...

they are a good tyre though when you do get them on.

It's not so much the tyre being the problem. I find any tyre a b1tch to fit on my DT Swiss rims. some are worse than others but all need levers. i hadn't used levers for about 15 yrs before I changed to DT Swiss :?

Well i fitted them yesterday onto my alex dp17's by hand, so much for them being hard to fit.

The dp17's are my training wheels as im fed up breaking the hell out of some of the silly areas i get taken, i'll be having me a dt 240's on a stans rim build later on in the year for any events i plan on going.

No point having such nice rims only to beat the hell out of them, kind of narked at our leader for sending us down such silly routes, then again good in a way.

Can't wait to try them out tomorrow, i can see myself gripping in places others won't be.

Nope the dtc is the xc variant and comes in a not too shabby 610 gms or around there.

For 2.10's they look very chunky and tractor-esq but from what i've read they'll outperform most tyres out there.

Tyres are very subjective so you never know until you try, i may end up hating these but nearly all reviews love the things so i can't wait to see how they perform tomorrow. :D

I hate picking tyres out, i've bought lemons before so i spend days if not weeks picking out a pair as i hate wasting money.

So far nobby nics are my favourite, they go exactly where you want and grip exceptionally well and are consistent, if it wasn't for their wear rate id keep them on all year they're that good to me. :D

So hopefully these kendas will be my training/winter hack tyre.

Let us (me) know how you find them on the back. I'm after something new for the back, have a Conti Mountain King Protection on there at the moment and I'm not entirely sure about it. It's great in dry/damp conditions but can be a little abrupt in the wet. As in, it grips well up until the point it lets go and then it's GONE. Changed the brake pads on the rear for sintered EBC Golds recently which have a little more power and this is exacerbating this issue. So I'm interested to hear how you get on with these.

i love my nevegal DTC 2.1, wear is very good, grip is brill, roll ok-ish, light too

if the excavator's roll better/grip, its a winner! will get one (2.35) for the front, and the nevegal dtc 2.1 on the rear?

Well been out them today and all i can say is wow, i half expected them to drag as for a 2.10 they're quite chunky yet only had a hint of it, very fast for such a knobbly tyre certainly better rolling than a fire xc.

The front will was out a finy bit when pushed but i found by running the front 10 psi lower usually remedies this, don't run them too low as the sidewalls will squirm as they're soft.

Grip wise oh boy it's in spades, very grippy and very confidence inspiring, i just wanted to go go go all the time they really bring out the best in a ride today i loved it.

These tyres are staying on all year lol i love em. :D:D:D:D

Did you plow any greasy mud (saw plenty of it this evening) with them? How did they hold up? What about braking? I'm seriously considering one of these for the back.

Well like most tyres they will slip in mud but they are pretty decent in it io have t say, better than most i have tried.

Braking wise very good, when the back did step out it was quite safe and only really went when provoked, the thing i like about them is because they're softer on the edges so when you hit an off camber section rather than it washing out it continues to grip as the edges grip more than the centre of the tyre.

Climbing ability is where it shines, i found myself in a big gear quite often not because i forgot more it allowed me to push hard rather than having to spin.

I certainly like them and for me are a permanent resident, i highly recommend them.

I really shouldn't be giving this info out lol.
