If you can get hold of them I bought a Fox Rampage, good helmet and it cost me £49.99 as it was a sale item, it's usually a £100 pound lid.0

+1 for the Rampage. Mine has saved my noggin a few times, but you really need to try a helmet on before buying it. An ill fitting helmet can be dangerous and won't protect you as well as a properly sized one. Find someplace that stocks the 661 lid you fancy, try it and find out your size, THEN order it cheaper off of the net.0 -

The comp doesn't look great - get the Strike instead, can be found within your budget on Chain Reaction etcSpecialized Enduro SL Pro Carbon

Just so you don't make a mistake, this is the nicer Comp II 2009:
You don't want the Comp 2008 which CRC sells it like the 2009:
That one is the ugliest fullface helmet ever. Who ever bought it here regret it, they were
all mourning that they didn't spend £10 more to get the Strike. But I may be wrong, CRC
are selling the newest Comp but they didn't changed their pictures.
As I have one I recomend the 661 Strike, 2008 or 2009,
which ever you like it, it's the same helmet but with different paintjob.
Try before you buy as everyone says.0 -
Has anyone tried out the new Comp II helmet? I noticed this thread with a lot of excited rambling before they were released in the UK, just wondering what people's experiences of them were:

I noticed the Strike has a higher RRP, does this mean it has better features than the Comp II?0 -

"Removable liner for easier cleaning"
Because it's still not available overhere, and no one has it, I can't compare it like the 2008 one.
But from the pictures I can say that the Comp II looks to have a design that is closer to the Strike than the last year's Comp.0 -
id push the boat outn and spend an extra couple of quid getting the evo from crc, great helmet, nice and cool, looks amazing and at that price its a steal

Or just take a print out of the online price and get the shop to match the price. Just make sure you have the phone no. of the online store so their price can be checked. It always works for me when I shop in Evans. My Website - Trail Centre info for the UK: MTB Trail Time0 -

Check out the limited edition Brian Lopes one here, its £15 more but it looks mint for just over £80
