Pedals for £100???

Hi, I'm in the process of buying a new bike, and im gettin a set of pedals thrown in at around £100, maybe a little more, maybe a little less As i use mtb spd im pretty much a novice to the varying advantages so could you impart some of your knowledge on the matter and suggest a good set fro my price range. I'd initially eyed up the speedplay's, but then a freind recommend the look's to me so i really have no idea!!!

I don't know that there is much advantage in any one pedal system(Speedplay, Look,
Shimano, etc.). While many claims are made about them, it is, after all, pretty much only advertising. Unless you have some really strange feet or needs, I think you'll be satisfied
with any of the major brands. I very rarely hear people complain about their pedals. One brand may suit you more than another but that's something only trial and error can tell you.

You could stick with SPD's on your road bike as well - plenty do who have crossed to the dark side.

Road specific pedals offer small advantages over SPD's - a little lighter, stiffer soles, larger platform...
...but you walk like a duck that's just sh*t itself off the bike...

Look Keo Carbons are a great pedal, and you should be able to pick them up for around £85-£90 and perhaps less on Ebay.

Pretty light at only 115g per pedal.

You also have three float options available when buying the cleats: Black (0%), Grey (4.5%) or Red (9%).
