Afan & Cwmcarn best routes?
Hi guys and gals,
I'm having me a few days away in south wales in a couple of weeks and was hoping to visit Afan and Cwmcarn to experiance thier delights. The only trouble is, over the 3 days I'm up there I'll only have about 4 hours riding each day. So I figured to do Afan over 2 days and Cwmcarn on the third.
Given the time restraints, If I can only do 2 routes at Afan and 1 at Cwmcarn, which ones should I go for? I'm not a big one for downhill, so just the XC routes please.
Thanks muchly.

ride the the wall and the whytes level )or do the w2 which is both in one go), the pehydd is a bit boring and the fun bits are getin overgrown on the sides and the skyline is mostly fire roads
the hit cwmcarn the next day, if you pace yourself round cwmcarn you can manage a couple laps
have a good ride dude
if its sunny or dry i would reccemend brechfa, but its lethal in the wet (still fun tho) its within a 2 hrs drive from newportDont look at it-ride it! they are tools not f*cking ornaments

Hello
Personally, I would do Penhydd and Whites Level as they're my favourite! I'm not keen on Brechfa - i'm a strictly xc rider and I find the last part a bit  to say the least!!Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....
Riding a gorgeous ano orange Turner Burner!

Whytes level and penhydd, personaly. The Walls good but if you do Whytes and wall don't do W2 because your supposed to miss some of the good bits where they link up. Do each trail seperate. You can ride between the two to get to them. If your into XC mainly then sky line is supposed to be more XC then the others. Make sure you do cwmcarn what ever happens.0

there's only one xc course at cwmcarn, don't be put off by the initial slog up - it's about 4 miles of mostly rocky single track. but once you get to the top, man is it worth it, loads of swooping knarly single track. you can also session the freeride section at the top if you're into that, loads of jumps and a wall ride to do 8) or you can miss the freeride section and just continue the twrch route. the final descent is pretty awsome aswell
i went up there with my mate last friday afternoon and some guys he works with who've never ridden off road before, they loved it and have all gone to afan this afternoon while i'm working :x :x :x0
