No Gary fisher bikes for Europe next year

Quite fancy a Gary fisher x-caliber as a second bike, so called my lbs. They said the distributor had none in stock. Oh well I thought, I'll wait for next year - except they're not stocking them. Had a hunt on the net and it seems gf have chosen not to sell in Europe??? Anyone know any details - I also read by 2011 gf bikes will exclusively 29 ers
