The leaves are changing colour from green to mouldy bronze rather than golden yellow, conkers are falling in August, the berries are out early and I was eating wild mushrooms in july! Now my weather hackles are telling me that the season is a-turning...

Autumn is my favourite time of year. :D

I bet your glass is always half empty.
It's still mid-summer here in sunny Suffolk. :D

And in profusion in the yard behind my house; I've already picked about 1lb of blackberries with plenty left for the taking. They don't seem to have fallen victim to birds yet. On the other hand, if anyone is wondering why there haven't been that many wasps about this summer, it seems to be because they all seem to be congregated around said bramble patch. Makes fruit picking a tricky business!!

At least one of your wasps flew south and stung me last Friday. For the firs,t and hopefully only time in my life, I had an mild, if you call a swollen arm mild, allergic reaction to it's venom.
