    Yep proper legend, I only heard about that in the week before this years tour of turkey when Daryll Impey got lobbed into the barriers and had to finish in a neck brace, wierd eh.

    Ah, the Tashkent Terror, I remember that crash vividly. One of those moments in le Tour I'll never forget, I'm sure. As I recall, the rules stated he had to cross the line under his own steam, so they put him on his bike and walked alongside him. Brilliantly wobbly sprinting style, IIRC.
