Rides in Cornwall

I'll be in Cornwall for a few days in a couple of weeks and was planning on taking the road bike with me. Does anyone know of any decent routes starting off from around St Austell?

    Try cycling to Truro on the A390 - that's what I do but in reverse! Nice views, a few places for food on the way and nice and fast.

    Head south towards Mevagissey and along the coastal roads - although not high, Cornish hills are steep and plentiful - plenty of 20% plus so make sure you've got your climbing gears. North of St Austell you can head into the 'Cornish Alps' - china clay spoil heaps - actually not a route I'd recommend.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
