    +1 Wallace :D

after a while you will realise that it certainly is a race. as soon as someone goes past you then your competative streak will kick in and the need for more training and better bike will slowly take over. Or that maybe just me!!!

+1 and me..... Upgraded bike, now need to upgrade me.... Only 1 scalp today, but a lower FCN, so not really good. Not so many scalps to take on Maryhill Road....

Maybe tonight, but then again with U2 and Arsenal both playing in Glasgow roads might be quiet....

    Did someone say virgin!?

As in virgin scalps of course...

You can just play with yourself.... sorry by yourself. :D

Always be ready for someone to come along. Maryhill Road thows up a few surprises...

Aye Bromptons are good. Couple of months ago met my first one on Milngavie Road, I caught up with him at lights. Thought I would give him a couple of yards then scalp him, however, the couple of yards turned into a couple of hundred and I realised horror of horrors I was drafting a beardie on a Brompton. Small hill by this time and I put the foot down and passed, still he kept within a hundred yards most of the way home, but the elastic was stretched. Gave me a new respect for those bikes.

meh, bromptons are quick on the flat, but they can't generally climb for tosh. I had one get me going down the oxford high street cos i was spinning out on my ss mtb, but i got him going up headington hill, with his stupid gearing he could match my grunt skywards.

Not a race and yet you're freely admiting to making it a time trial with your 45 minute target? Hoo Yoo Kiddin?
