its been 1 year since i started commuting, and what a great year.
ive gone from cycling 1 day/week at first, and now easily manage 3 days week.

ive lost a stone in weight, and am now slim and trim (but my thighs are thicker!).

I ditched the hybrid in March and absolutely love my roadie, and hence -have learned how to change a punctured tyre.
I was a bit of a fair weather cyclist at first, nervous about cycling in wet conditions, but have survived the British winter (and summer) and cycled in all but extreme ice conditions

I used to be a gutter-bunny, but now confidently take prime postion as and when needed.
i have realised how competitive I am, and love to race/overtake and scalp other cyclists.

I get excited when i see other cyclists, when on holiday/out shopping/not cycling..just to see their bike, gear, and form.
I have discovered the wonders of baby wipes and porridge.

I have had to provide one new whole drawer, just for my gear, as with each change of season i realised i NEEDED different clothes.
I must have saved money in not paying tram and bus fares, and my eco footprint is surely reduced!

Im so glad i tried it...thanks to my BF for getting me into it!
cycling rocks!

Touche! Nappy / dog litter sacks have also proved invaluable for keeping phone, wallet etc. dry in the back pocket!

it really does... and other work colleagues are in awe of that fact that i cycle in..they have so many excuses as to why they couldn't possibly do it, then they moan about being unfit/fat/no time for excercise. its often quicker to cycle in, and once your home, the deed is done
