Tighten in what way? Are the bearings loose? In which case they may need replacing.

    you cant.

    other than replace the bearings.

but a better explanation of what you are trying to do might help.

Sorry for the brief description, i was trying to get my one my bikes ready for a ride as quick as i could.

So yea, the front hub is a Diatech (never used them before) and after about 2 years of freeriding the hub has become loose and creates a nice donking sound whenever the front end comes back down to Earth. I was assuming it was the bearings, in fact i know it is as i can hear them grinding away. I have no idea how to pop open the hub to take a look and repair the problem, you guys know?

    Ok which hub is it?

most of then either fall apart or pull apart depending on the configureation.

No idea, it's a factory built bolt through front Halo SAS wheel with a 6 bolt disc hub that just says 'Diatech' . I cant find any specs for the wheel.

so you have it at 9mm set up?

5mm bolt into the Qr hole and pull.

No no no i already have to wheel out of the forks and the axle out of the hub. I'm asking how do you access the bearings.

knock them out from the inside.

you will see a cut out in one end of the bearing spacer. use that to acess the outer race.

Or if yours does not have the cut out move it over to get to the bearing and knock it out.

I have removed the bearings/spacer, managed to save one set of bearings with lots of wd40 n grease but the other is beyond repair. Anyone know where to buy some suitable bearings online?
