What UST rear tyre for... a lazy b******

OK, so. After much mucking about with tyres, I've had a 2.1 nevegal on the rear of the soul pretty much constantly for a couple of months. Works very well for me, not perfect but it's proved tough, decent wearing, not too slow, and with 30psi in it it's grippy enough for me. Could always use a little more grip or a bit more volume...
So, nothing wrong with it but I'm a tweaker, and I'm wondering if there might be something better? Not just similiar, or fractionally better, but actually significantly better. Lighter, or faster rolling, or bigger without being slower, or grippier. Something that does the same job only more so.
Oh, and lastly, as I've got UST ready wheels it seems a shame not to take advantage- I've never run tubeless before since I've been swapping tyres a couple of times a month anyway but if I get this right, hopefully I'll be keeping this one for a while.
Please, no suggestions of Mountain Kings Tried them, spent 2 rides sliding about, sold them, never again!

big, light, grippy and ust ready? eskars sworks in a 2.3 flavour.
weigh about 650g and measure big for a 2.3 certainly compared to conti and maxxis. roll well, have dual compound so they grip well and they can be had for about 22 quid iirc0 -
Tioga Red Phoenix come up pretty large and light. Veryy grippy.0

Cheers... Ah, now I should have said, doesn't have to be UST, any tyre that works well tubeless and doesn't melt when you add sealant would do.
I see a lot of people seem to like the Rubber Queens and Nobby Nics, do you reckon they'll fit the bill?Uncompromising extremist0 -
I have tried Nobby Nics and Nevegals.Nobby Nics are faster and lighter, but you will need to go up to a 2.25 to maintain the same tyre volume/width as your 2.1 Nevegals.
Nobby Nics seemed distinctly faster rolling, whilst maintain a reasonable grip.I use mine through the winter, and they grip well enough in all but the deepest mud.
You will see why they are so light the first time you fit them, though the sidewalls are like paper, definitley not as tough as the Nevegal but I ride where there are no rocks,so can live with this.
Never tries running mine tubeless, but I know plenty of people have, albeit with some faffing.
Funnily enough though, I found I got as many punctures with the Nevegal.
The price objection isn`t an issue if you buy them via Merlin. In fact these days they seem to cost less than Continentals.2006 Giant XTC

Have been running the Conti Raceking USTs through the summer. Impressed with them thus far, although think that they will be found wanting a little in the muddier months. For now though they are extremely fast rolling and the sidewalls are nice and reassuringly solid0

Maxxis Advantage for me (I run the normal version tubeless)0
