I was on the return leg of a taining ride, this afternoon...
About 1 mile from home, a white van pulled out of a side road to my right ( he intended to turn right) and stopped just short of hitting me!
He, in turn, received a load of verbal abuse, complimented with some choice hand gestures...
I think this reaction got to him... He drove up, very close to my back wheel, before make his passing attempt right on top of a blind left bend!... Yep, half way through this move, a car came in the opposite direction. He swung in, missing my front wheel by a gnat's whisker  I had anticipated this, I didn't brake, but was ready for a nudge!
Mr.Angry head was well and truely on, now, so off I go flat out trying to catch him....
Tw*t never stopped again and I lost touch with him... W*nker!!

Think we've all been there done that? I like to ride in the middle of the road for a few seconds shaking my head after a close shave!

There are a lot of idiots around, always have to have your eyes everywhere.

I went out with my pal on Sunday down through the narrow back lanes of Cheshire, me on the front rapidly approaching a blind left hand bend - a hairpin bend - I could see through the hedges a farm tractor with big hopper on the back gunning towards us on the opposite hairpin taking up the whole road.

I signalled my pal to get in behind me as much as possible and then just as he got in the tractor came hurtling around the blind bend and had to swerve to avoid hitting us, he didn't have time to brake it all happened that fast, he took up the majority of the lane if we had been in a car or a motorbike he would have definitely squished us.

It's a good job I saw him through the hedge and had moved over to within a couple of feet of the hedge if we hadn't we would be have been harvested :shock . It all happened so quickly that within a couple of seconds he was gone.... no time to vent any sort of emotion..

Remember boys and girls, EYES EVERYWHERE.
