My new bike arrived at 8.30 this morning from Wiggle!!

Spent an hour or so unwrapping and setting up the bars, saddle, pedals etc and have had a quick blast round but overall very impressed. Very light and seems like a real good quality bike for the money. Also, on the plus side, it's got SLX front mech fitted (matching the rear) when the specs on Wiggle's site say it should be LX!

Just ordered some bar ends (bikes just don't feel right without them for me!) and some white Wellgo V8 copies. Took a few pics this morning, but can't put them up at the moment cos my work computer won't recognise my memory card! Will get it done tomorrow...

Whats the Fox fork like?

yeah will get the photos done in the morning!

the fork seems really good - rebound and lockout adjust on the right leg and sag adjust valve on the left. can't fault anything on it really. suppose being picky the finishing kit could be better, but the bike is still really light anyway so i'm not that fussed!

Even on some much more expensive bikes the finishing kit is a little questionable but the Focus has the right kit in the right places

had a blast round on it this morning, a 10-mile loop on riverbank and road. it's very quick compared with the Giant! the tyres are really fast rolling, not sure how they'll cope with soggy mud though and the forks are great too, soak up everything with no jarring and great to have lockout for the road sections.

went up to dalby today and did pretty much the whole red route (cut out the adderstone section cos i was late arriving and had to be back home by 5pm). bike handled it all really well, so much better in all departments than the Giant. quicker, lighter, climbs faster and easier and the forks are fantasic. even the saddle's comfier. very happy with it
