I am interested in upgrading my frame but I don't know which to choose. I want one capable of an XC ride and bombing the woods, but also for a bit of street riding and dirt jumping. I want to keep my 100mm forks, so I don't want dodgy steep angle. a 16in frame? Help!!!
Thanks.
Thanks.

What frame are you upgrading from? And what parts do you have?0

on one inbred?0

Well, at the moment I have a Carrera Kraken (18in), but I think it is to XCish as the frame is thin. I have upgraded the wheels, forks, so I don't want to change those.'Mountains cannot be moved, mountains have to be conquered'

i believe the inbreds are currently a nice blue colour.
even if you can't adjust the travel. I ran mine with 80-130mm toras for a while, it was only actually nice at 100mm, so i've now put some 100mm sids on it!
You could even get a 456 and run it at 100mm, it'll be quite twitchy but should still be okay.0 -
What's the difference between the inbred and 456? My current wheelset is mostly red so do you think the blue might clash?'Mountains cannot be moved, mountains have to be conquered'

456 has a stronger toptube and is designed for slightly slacker forks.0

The Inbred is a comfy steel framed XC / trail bike. designed to take 80 - 130 mm of suspension
While the 456 is made from the same steel but is more of a hooligan of a bike. As the name suggests its designed to 4, 5 or 6 inches of suspension0 -
If I got the 16inch 456 (or the inbred) with non adjustable 100mm fork, would I still be able to pedal effiecently for XC and do a bit of street and 4X?

If you want to do a bit of 4X too I would suggest the slightly stronger 456. The frame is designed to go down to a 100mm (4inch) fork so should be OK.
Give On-One am e-mail tell them what kind of riding you want to do etc and ask them to suggest a suitable frame. I found their customer service was very good.0 -
The 456 is designed to use a minimal of a 100mm fork, you would probably be much better off with the normal inbred.0
