Hi all i brought a Boardman FS comp from Halfords about 6 weeks ago now, i am not going to go into the problems i have had with the bike or Halfords as they are covered on other posts.
Four days ago i wrote a review of my bike on the Halfords website, Giving a fair and honest account of the bike and the service that i had been given by Halfords.
And guess what the review has never appeared on there site, just because it does not give them or the bike a 5 star rating it appears that they have ditched the review. What is the point of having a review section for customers when they only put on the good reviews how are people ment to get a blanced picture of the bike and the service provided by Halfords when they filter the reviews.
Another nail in the coffin for Halfords as far as i am concerned.

If you have saved what you wrote about Halfords and/or the bike then stick it on another product review website. People will read it. I always try to do research online before making purchases.

I bet they have it in small writing somewhere that all review may not be shown but i would give them a ring and ask them the reason, just in case its a mistake.

By the way you do know that most websites check submitted reviews to make sure they dont contain links to porn sites etc, before allowing them on to their site? If you only just submitted it, it may take a few days.

    +1 for what Realman says.

I wrote a review for a book on the Amazon site. Took just over a week to appear on the website. They're rarely posted "Live" as they have to be vetted first.
  • there were no links to porn sites in the review, it has been four days since i wrote the review, so i will keep an eye on the sit to see if they are taking there time, or have just ditched it bacuse they dont like what i had to say. If thats the case they should inprove there service.

Maybe they decided your spelling and punctuation were too poor to be included. sorry, I couldn't resist. Only kidding

You say you submitted the review 4 days ago. Remeber that 2 of those days were taken up by the weekend too.

Kidding or not, this is a MTB forum, not a forum for the OU. And it's remember.

I just love the review websites. The opinions are clearly all over the place - some people rave about the item/hotel/whatever and others think it is the spawn of the devil.

The public cant be trusted !!
