Cycling back from leeds city centre yesterday (sunday) going through Armley past mikes carpets, On the left i seen a taxi waiting to get out of a side road from about 60 yards away from me. Now this taxi driver was inching his way out of the side road and well over the cycle lane even though he seen me aproaching because he had to look past me to see if there was traffic coming from behind me. I raised my arm up as if to say WTF do you think your doing, he forced me to go round him, and never batted an eye lid. FKN PRICK.

so on the basis of one taxi driver edging hisway out you are condemning all motorists as "bloody motorists?"Want to know the Spen666 behind the posts?

sounds pretty mild to me.
Where I do use the cycle lane - and often I don;t as it's not fit for purpose - I would say usually it is blocked by a motorist who doesn't know where s/he should stop. Occasionally one will back up for me but usually not, even when I approach them slowly, giving them full on eye contact and gesture for them to back up.
Many of these ar5eholes are probably the same drivers complaining that cyclists don;t use cycle lanes.
I think the answer is don;t use cycle lanes - even the good ones - and get out on the road proper.0 -

Porgy knows where im coming from on this, it was just blatant bloody rudeness that forced me out into the traffic and he just didnt seem to give a toss so yes because of that one PRICK of a driver BLOODY DRIVERS, i think i could have called him worse if i really wanted too.0 -

To be fair we use exactly the same logic about how one RLJer will make all drivers think "bloody cyclists".0
