Hi guys and gals hope you don't mind me putting this on here it does have a cycling element to it.
You probably have never heard of Steve Prescott, but the guy is a true inspiration. http://www.steveprescottfoundation.co.uk/About.aspx
From being a first class international RL player, to being diagnosed with a rare stomach cancer and still having treatment ( he had some more chemo just last week) Steve has thrown himself into helping others by doing a number of Strenuous charity events
Starting 17 Aug Steve and a few others are Taking the challenge cup match ball from Perpignan to the stadium in time for the game. This entails cycling the whole length of France, dragon boating the Thames followed by a half marathon to the ground. The guy is not a cyclist so I'm sure many on here will appreciate what he is undertaking.He will also be joined by Jimmy Gittins and Pete Stephenson who both became paralysed after breaking their necks playing rugby and will be using specially adapted quad bike for them to take part in the challenge.
