Anyone know any good places to get old NOS bike components? I'm looking to restore my old 1980s Raleigh rigid MTB (after my Dad wrecked it!) to use as a general tourer and winter commute. As it has sentimental value I'd prefer to restore it with original proper components than put modern bits on it.
Been scouring eBay but the correct period parts are a bit elusive at present. Looking for some Lee Chi cantilever brakes (can't find any of the correct type), Raleigh chrome-plated 26x1.75" rims, Shimano SIS 5sp thumbshifter, decal set, plus a couple of other things.
Anyone know of any websites/dealers that deal only in old stuff? Or am I (as I suspect!) wasting my time?!

Try the odd carboot sale, ive seen old bikes being sold for £10 and could be canabilised for parts0
