    Campag.

An extra sprocket and over £200 cheaper, no contest.

Get to a bike shop & check the feel of the hoods, secondly have a test ride with Campag if you have not used before, not everyone likes the thumblevers.
Sram more modern IMHO with the single, double tap system, but I prefer Campag personally.
    My knees hurt !

Of those 2 I would get the Campag one.

Have not used Campag but I have Sram Force on the good bike and am very pleased with it.

    I'd go for the Red.

Don't get me wrong - if it was full red I would say go for it but that is only half red really and it is more expensive.

Ah, and it weights a bit more as well!

the campag is a standard chainset, the SRAM is a compact, do you have a preference?

I've been using Chorus 10 and like the ergos, not so keen on the look of the new ones but as you say it's a full groupset. Also had a compact on for years but riding well at the moment and would like to see how I'd do going back to a standard chainset. Chorus 11 was very weel rated by C+ too.
Like the Red levers but never used Sram, 1/2 Red 1/2 other Sram, more money but has a compact chainset.
Swinging back to Campag again now.

Once I've made this tough decision I've then got to tell the Mrs I'm having a new bike.
That's right I'm gonna TELL her, not ask, TELL HER.....
