Can't get on with Assos Shorts Any suggestions

Hi,
I have tried a couple of pairs of Assos Shorts, but they just feel uncomfortable on me, this will sound strange but I have a pair of 3/4 F1 Mille, which are perfect, but the shorts squeeze the life out of my thighs. So I need an alternative, for no more than £50, any guidence, I do have big thighs so maybe something longer, would help, anyone had this problem, as Assos are meant to be the king of shorts?
