Hi All,

Am looking for a more comfortable set up for an 07 Spesh Allez and the first thing is to change the unbearable saddle. Am running an SDG Bel Air on my mtb which is great and wondered if anyone had suggestions for me? I know its a personal thing, but some starters for ten to try would be helpful

Cheers

Hmm i would look at getting a charge knife.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

It's only an MTB saddle if it is fitted to an MTB. If it is fitted to a road bike, it becomes a road bike saddle....

...as you already have the SDG Bel Air, try it on your Spesh & take it for a ride. It may not feel quite as comfy due to the difference in riding position, but at least trying it out won't cost you anything.

    Eh, all of the above.

Excellent saddle and if anyone turns their noses up then they are just snobs

And probably uncomfortable ones at that.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Good saddles SDG Bel Air, nothing wrong with using them on a road bike, Ti version keeps it a bit lighter, can get them for £30 I think. As far as weight goes, you're really just carrying round a bit of padding which is translating into comfort anyway and they dont look out of place on a road bike either to me. You can waste a lot of money trying saddles out whereas it sounds like you already know one that works to me.
