While I was out on a ride this afternoon, my wife, said she would nip to the LBS and pick up a Hope Hed Doctor for me, on her way to do the shopping etc (she's a superstar, is our lass).

Anyway, I got back from my ride to find out that the aforementioned item appears to have been used! The package had been opened, and the Hed Doctor has scratches/marks on the outer sleeves, the allen head bolt has marks where an allen key has been used, and the thread appears to have to have some gunk/dirt in it.

It's bloody obvious that someone has had this item out of the packaging, and used it, so I'm a little annoyed that the LBS has tried to re-sell it. Needless to say, it will be going back tomorrow!

Sure it wasnt your wife sneaking in a quick ride when you were out?

Else, maybe they had someone return it due to a fault or it coming loose during riding, and they accidentily put it back on the shelf rather then in the bin/back to hope.

She'd love to. Before we had kids she used to be out regularly, but she'd probably still ride better than I do! :oops:
