As a spin off from GeordieFreeRider's thread.

A game for people with cycle computers. Turn your bike updside down or put on your work stand a rock the front wheel back and forth past the computer sensor as fast as you can. The challenge is to get the highest speed on your computer.

Fastest speed is declared the biggest wanker!

(I don't have a computer so can't set a benchmark)

Well then it comes down to value. The more you spent on your GPS, the bigger the wanker you are.:lol::wink:

Now this may seem a silly question, but you do realise that if you were just sitting on the train, it would have shown the same speed, right?

Of course, but in england all the seats on trains have other people sitting on them.

    Ah, gotcha!
It just seemes like the "standing" part was intergral to your story somehow

To be fair after I posted that I was thinking someone was going to bring up the "on a train" rather then "in a train"... But you really caught me out, lol.

Recent used a train in france, and couldnt believe how much better it was then the ones here. They have hooks so you can hang up bikes by the front wheel, and they had it so you could get 6 bikes into the space the english trains have for 2 bikes.

And of course that means no more stupid wheel holders that only take 1.9 tyres no more no less.

got 58 mph cycling up my parents drive and usually top 40+ crossing the road outside my flat,
with my gps, it appears to be a glitch with nokia sports tracker,

My Nokia 5800's GPS is all over the place too. It doesn;t seem to bad on speed or distance, but the altitude is WAAAAY off!
I was sitting at the top of Llanberis pass a couple of weeks ago, fiddling with it, and the "altitude" reading would shoot from 50m to 900m.
Now, call me a cynic, but a tolerance of +/-850m is less than useless.

I put the magnet ring from an Avocet computer onto the motor of some lego I had and turned it on and got over 40mph on the speedometer.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Come on guys, you should be able to do better than this. We used to play this game as kids, and would regularly top 70 or 80 mph.
