Suggestions for Handlebar and stem combo

Are there any suggestions for which bars and stem combo I can look at for a new build pedalforce RS2? There is such a range out there I need assistance to narrow the field. The requirements are:
i) As it appears to have little effect on weight, unless there are other considerations, they can be either carbon or alloy. (Are there factors why it should be carbon?)
ii) Price range for both will be in the medium to high end bracket. Price is a factor but is not the over-riding one)
iii) Handlebar and stem need to be compatible.
iv) Can be either std. or oversize but have to be suitable for the smaller sized hands.
Thanks

Ritchey WCS or Deda Zero 100 are some of the best about.
I'd have alloy because they'll withstand a crash or knock a bit better than carbon, and also quite a bit lighter.
It'd be a good idea to go into your LBS and have a look as you'll want to make sure you get right stem length, right bar width, and what bend of bars you prefer0 -
Deda Zero 100 stem and Deda Newton Shallow bars. Cheap, durable and classy! Bear in mind Deda bar widths are centre-to-centre whilst most bar widths are quoted outside-to-outside.
I had the wise idea of switching to carbon bars a few months ago, mechanic put 130psi in my tubs rather then the 100psi I asked for and then it TIPPED with rain during a fast and semi-competitive ride. Needless to say I lost the rear wheel in a corner and snapped the damn bars. Depends what kind of riding you do but alloy is preferable (and switching to bars that were 60g lighter made the front end noticeably twitchier with a light wheelset).
If you're running Shimano, the Pro range of bars and stems is worth a look too though the build in your signature is Campagnolo which would be wrong...0 -
Planet X do a light weight bar and stem, I think the bar is call Strada and the stem something like Extra Light. I put them both on my bike build last winter and they are fine.

It depends on what shape you prefer and whether you like riding on the hoods or drops. The Deda shallow bar/zero stem combo is nice+easy for riding on the drops. It has a sharp drop from the top section though, so I don't find them as comfy on the hoods. (You can see what I mean on this page http://www.ciclonline.com/tecnica2008/Test%20handlebar%20Deda%20Shallow%20Newton.php The 3T Ergonova have a much flatter top sectiion and the levers sit nice and high on the bar so good for riding on the hoods.0
